Awan’s Assisting, LLC has been in operation since August 2015 when Karen McGrath, owner, was given the opportunity to provide services to her clients independently after the virtual assisting company she had been associated with was sold.  Both Karen and her clients were elated to continue their working relationship.  Karen and her support team at Awan’s Assisting have now been providing clientele with their virtual assisting needs for over three and a half years.

Since forming Awan’s Assisting, the company’s work ethic and business model has been in high demand, and as a result, the company has taken on additional team members, and is gradually expanding to meet the growing needs of its clientele.

In addition to her prior experience as a virtual assistant, Karen has had a broad spectrum of professional experience, everything from account management, where she handled multi-million dollar accounts and project management, to teaching 4th and 5th grade in a start up charter school in Utah. In all her work experiences, she has maintained a high work ethic, always going the extra mile, and has insisted on the same qualities in the team members she has hired. As a virtual assistant, and as a manager and trainer of her team, she requires that she and the team are highly responsive to client needs, as well as accurate, friendly, and concise in all tasks.  It is this effort which has enabled Awan’s Assisting to continue to be in a position of trust with the clients who have been with her before she formed her company, and continue relying on her and her team today.

In Karen’s personal life, she’s always busy with multiple projects and adventures.  Karen enjoys volunteering and has given her time and expertise to an array of different non-profit organizations.  She has taught English and math to immigrants aiding them to earn their GED, she has volunteered in grant writing for at-risk, homeless, and low income youth, and she is currently volunteering in a local senior center.  Almost every summer Karen works under the trees and stars of the Oregon forest for a month.  (All the photos featured on this website are photos she’s taken on her summer Oregon adventures.)  And on a day-to-day basis she spends the majority of her time being a mom, doing home improvement projects, playing with her pets, relaxing with her husband, doing arts and crafts, and staying active.
